Holland Partner Group is Hiring a Residential Trainer Near Vancouver, WA

Overview

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually.

The Residential Trainer utilizes their technical and operational expertise and understanding of adult learning methodologies to collaboratively create and deliver engaging and effective systems and operational process training to onsite employees in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical and best practice training with onsite Residential employees (software rollouts, policy and process standards, new hire, and continuing systems training).
  • Engage with a variety of Residential job roles to help employees build skills to maximize their tools and resources versus simply knowing how to use the systems.
  • Create facilitator guides and content for means of conducting the training.
  • Update and maintain existing learning content to ensure that learning programs are current and relevant.
  • Produce relevant and timely reports to functional leaders regarding technical training completions and effectiveness.
  • Assign onboarding Planner Boards for new hires and promoted onsite team members.
  • Host monthly live-event training courses for various software and policy/process standards.
  • Proactively identify training needs within each market such as new property acquisitions, significant process/workflow changes, etc. and awareness of new hires onboarding to provide training and support.
  • Proactively seek feedback from business unit leaders on additional training needs.
  • Consistently track activity in service management system for training courses, events, course design and one on one support.
  • Proactively communicate performance gaps and feedback received from onsite team members and/or stakeholders to Director, Residential Solutions.
  • Partner with Director, Residential Solutions to create and implement training solutions to reinforce and sustain training.
  • Utilize knowledge of adult learning methodologies to create engaging learning and support desired practices on the job (demonstrations, practice, hands-on test, job aids, etc.).
  • Develop the metrics and the means to assess and track the effectiveness and efficiency of training.
  • Provide feedback to Managers or stakeholders with respect to participation and attendance of training and workshop events.
  • Lead system workshop sessions with a variety of Residential job roles; as well as one-on-one refresher courses as requested.
  • Support training related questions from on-site employees and engage other departments as needed.
  • Actively participate in monthly Property Manager meetings or other meetings as assigned.
  • Be an advocate for technology enhancements and support the overall effort for Holland Partner Group.
  • Create content and material for owner specific standards as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Holland Residential policies, procedures and best practices; and keep materials and content up to date with changes.
  • Participate in monthly updates with Government Affairs Manager to keep current on legislative changes in each market for ongoing training.
  • Partner with the Government Affairs Manager to create a quarterly newsletter by market to address legal updates and other relevant information.
  • Coordinate with Learning & Organizational Development Team to understand other business line scheduled learning events to ensure learner focus and minimize competing priorities.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Organizational Development Team to ensure that training delivery and attendance are updated for learners in Learning Management System.
  • Create and maintain a safe and effective learning environment that allows for two-way feedback and comprehension.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, contractors, and other external parties as needed to enhance internal training programs, content and materials.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five years of professional training experience required (designing, developing, and delivering technical and process training to adult learners) or relevant job experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and collaboration skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in creating and editing images, graphics, video, and audio utilizing tools such as SnagIt, Camtasia, PowerPoint, Audacity, etc.
  • Ability to understand, synthesize, and assimilate complex information so that it can be distilled down into clear and simple content for learners.
  • Work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility.
  • Focus on intended learning outcomes, based on the audience’s skills, experience, expectations, and needs.
  • Ability to write effective learning materials and engage learners with interaction and activities.
  • Agile, able to adjust to change quickly and be flexible in the approach to meet business needs.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills that support meeting performance expectations, objectives, and goals.
  • Customer focused and responsive with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 360 and Yardi Voyager and other Yardi suite of products, such as RENTCafe and CRM.
  • Experience with or ability to learn AnyoneHome, AIRM, Leonardo 24/7 and NAA Bluemoon leases.

Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required.

This position also requires:

  • Travel 25-40% of the time, and overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
