Full-Time Fitness Coordinator

8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm

General Information :

• Location : Assisted Living at Raybrook Manor and Breton Woods.
• Schedule : Full-Time - 40 Hours8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pmMonday - FridayFull-Time would start at the beginning of July, or training can start sooner if desired (about 20 hours / week until full-time in July).
• Job Duties : Plans and implements group fitness classes that meet the interests and needs of residents in Assisted Living at Holland Home.

Creates a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. Actively encourages resident participation in the fitness center and classes.

Promotes the use of the fitness machines. Facilitates equipment orientations.Administers fitness assessments to facilitate goal setting and track improvements in functional fitness.

Develops short- and long-range goals for fitness programs and reviews programs to determine if the residents’ needs are being met.

Monitors the condition of exercise equipment and ensures proper preventative maintenance activities occur.Recommends acquisition of exercise equipment to support new programs and activities.

Maintains fitness-related schedules, records, and reports.

Qualifications : The job requires knowledge, skills and abilities normally acquired through the successful completion of a

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.Personal training and / or group exercise certification is preferred.Experience working with older adult population is preferred.

Proof of a valid Michigan driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance is required.

Requirements : Ability to work with older adults.Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, residents / clients, and families in situations requiring courtesy, tact, respect, and patience.
