Holistic Educational Rehabilitation Center is Hiring a Mental Health Counselor Near Gretna, LA
We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain WEEKLY open lines of communication for individuals with mental, emotional and/or substanse abuse issues
- Produce detail-oriented documentation of every visit/session
- Provide prevention-oriented community based therapy
- Implement and review treatment plans
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Willing to be on call at anytime for patients in crisis
Qualifications:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling or behavioral health related field.
- Can pass background check and drug test
- Has access to reliable transportation
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Excellent WRITTEN and VERBAL communications skills
- Can work independently
- Works well in group settings
- Teamplayer
- Goes above and beyond to produce quality documentation
- Ability to build genuine rapport with clients
- Willing to provide the BEST care possible to our clients
- Strong leadership qualities
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
