Holiday Inn & Roberts Center is Hiring a Food & Beverage Director Near Wilmington, OH

Ralph's American Grill is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage Operations to handle the day-to-day operations of the Food and Beverage Department.

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for all Food and Beverage Operations, supporting the management team in all aspects of operations including guest and associate satisfaction, implementing budgets, training associates, ensuring quality standards are met, supervising staff, and applying relevant management principles to assure that the wants and needs of guests are consistently met and exceeded.

Director of Food & Beverage Operations

Reports to: Complex General Manager Classification: EXEMPT

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Holiday Inn Roberts Center and New Restaurant

Job Summary:

Plan and direct all restaurant F&B Operations. Maintain high standards of food, service, health, and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee management of the F&B Outlet as well as assists in the daily operations of F&B Departments as needed.
  • Assist in planning of external/internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the food and beverage department.
  • Evaluate levels of guest satisfaction with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Develop SOPs for all areas of F&B department.
  • Assists with the training of all the staff and management, helping all associates develop and improve their skill level.
  • Participates in interviewing, hiring, and scheduling of F&B staff.
  • Creates menus for both food and beverage with assistance from the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure consistent brand service standards are delivered in every area.
  • Be aware of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of food and beverage within the operation.
  • Communicates between shifts and ensures adequate prep for the next shift.
  • Leading and mentoring staff in an upscale hospitality environment.
  • Overseeing and assisting in kitchen & dining areas to always ensure positive member/guest experiences.
  • Orders supplies and conducts inventories of kitchen items. 
  • Organizes ingredients, recipes and/or supplies to ensure consistency and an organized and efficient production of all menu items.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. 
  • Is well versed in up-to-date trends with cocktails, craft beers, and bourbons.
  • Possess a vast knowledge of wine and food pairings. 

Physical Requirements:

Travel

Local and regional travel is required resulting in overnight trips. This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Driver’s license. The successful candidate would have to provide proof of valid driver’s license upon being hired.

 Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

 Friendly guest service personality and positive attitude exhibited at all times.

  • Knowledge of advanced cooking techniques with 5-10 years of progressive culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Previous exposure to hot and cold food preparation as well as some Garde manger & pastry experience.
  • Demonstrates creative ability.
  • Serve safe certification level 2
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exhibits positive attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Demonstrates proactive leadership qualities.
  • Professional conduct and appearance.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle multiple duties.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
