Holiday Inn Maumee is Hiring a Front Desk Hotel Guest Services Supervisor Near Maumee, OH

Holiday Inn Maumee-Toledo is hiring for our front desk Supervisor position. This is for our 2nd shift position (hours usually 3p-11p). As part of training process, you may be asked to work outside of this shifts' time frame.

Job Summary

Directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties. Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, breakfast, suite shop..

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the selection of front office personnel.
  • Trains, cross trains, and retains and front office personnel in accordance with Holiday Inn Standards.
  • Creates front desk schedules to ensure proper coverage through the direction of the GM
  • Evaluated the job performance of each front office employees
  • Maintains working relationships and communicated with all departments
  • Resolves guest related problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.
  • Updates group information to include the maintenance and preparations of any group requirements and relays that information to appropriate personnel.
  • Conducts regular audits of Holiday Inn standards and makes sure they conform to QA specifications including but not limited to CRM, Uniforms, Folios, IHG Rewards. Etc.
  • Uphold the hotels’ commitment to hospitality.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be “on call” for weekends, emergencies or for anyone who “call’s off” of a scheduled shift.
  • Prefer at least one (1) year of related experience with a minimum of one (1) year front desk supervisory experience
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
  • Must display very good organization and time management skills

OPERA computer system experience is a plus, as well as a background in hotel industry or costumer service. However will train if you have that wonderful dynamic personality that we are seeking!
