Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix West - Tolleson is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a new hotel where our standards are high, and we reward hard work and dedication. Our Maintenance team is responsible for setting the standard by ensuring the property and grounds are clean and appealing, in addition to guaranteeing the comfort and functionality of the hotel. Our ideal candidate will have experience with general maintenance tools and equipment, and some exposure to industries including HVAC, construction, electrical work and repairs, plumbing, or general property management is preferred. Our hotel is brand new, and our Maintenance team is dedicated to maintaining its pristine condition and completing the last few projects on the grounds. This role is ideal for someone who wants a long-term, stable position within the industry, someone looking for more than just their next job.

Job Responsibilities:

· Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment, etc.

· Perform preventative maintenance duties as detailed in the hotel preventative maintenance calendar

· Ensure that assigned equipment is prepared and operational for the following day’s work

· Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guest entrance/access doors, television sets, and lighting systems

· Make minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure things are working properly and efficiently at all times

· Restore furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed

· Maintain front entrance area, parking area and/or garage, and ensure street entrance is a clean and presentable

· Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool, and exercise/sport facilities

· Ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc. using established hotel procedures

· Replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste

· Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor or manager on duty

· Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or requests to ensure guest satisfaction

· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure

excellent quality and service

· Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Basic reading and math skills

· 1 years of experience in general building maintenance and repair assistance preferred

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Building Management software/programs preferred

· Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license is preferred

· First aid & CPR certifications or ability to obtain
