You will oversee the operation of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Belleville hotel. From the hiring, managing, and directing of associates to achieving financial goals and ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, it is up to you to make your hotel a success.

JOB SUMMARY: We are searching for a General Manager for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Belleville hotel. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of Hotel General Manager experience but a minimum of 2 years of other Hotel Management experience may be considered. This individual will be responsible for the overall operation and financial reporting of the hotel in compliance with the Hotel's Standard Operating Procedures and IHG Brand Standards.

HOTEL GENERAL MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Strong leadership skills to maximize productivity and effectiveness of the team
• Maintains the highest of standards in Guest Satisfaction that meets or exceeds the franchise standards.
• Internally maintains a positive and productive environment for the employees with open communication.
• Trains, motivates, and develops staff to provide to minimize turnover and provide great guest customer service
• Hiring new staff to maintaining adequate staffing levels
• Monitors operating expenses for all departments and audits daily reports
• Prepares for and ensures compliance with IHG brand standards and the management company standards.
• Candidate is required to train in all departments and fully understand the hotel operations within 30 days of starting
• Candidate is required to comply with and complete the IHG General Manager training within 90 days of starting
• Must be able to work under pressure, prioritize and delegate.
• Must be able to invest the time it takes to "get the job done" and be dependable.
• Must be able to meet the public with poise and manage difficult situations with tact & diplomacy.

EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Requires management/supervisory skills and excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be dependable & unquestionably honest.
