Holiday Inn Express and Suites Lincoln Downtown is Hiring a Hotel Front Desk Manager - Downtown Hotel Near Lincoln, NE

Job Summary:
The Front Desk Manager at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Lincoln Downtown is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations of our hotel. This includes managing the front desk staff, implementing policies and procedures, ensuring exceptional guest service, and handling any guest complaints or issues. As a member of the management team, the Front Desk Manager works closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient running of the hotel.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 per year, paid biweekly. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including supplemental health insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, $1,000 New Hire Bonus, and hotel discounts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the front desk, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and efficiency
- Train, schedule, and supervise front desk staff, including assigning duties, evaluating performance, and providing feedback
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the front desk, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and procedures
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Handle any guest issues or concerns, including resolving billing disputes, room changes, and other requests
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including guest information, room occupancy, and revenue
- Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure all guest requests are fulfilled and that rooms are clean and well-maintained
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure a smooth operation and maximize revenue
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure all front desk staff are knowledgeable and up-to-date on hotel policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Experience in a front desk or guest services role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management position
- Knowledge of hotel operations and systems, including property management systems (PMS) and online booking platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of local attractions, events, and restaurants in the Lincoln area is preferred
