The Title Insurance Closing Agent supports the organization’s mission to provide superior quality, lasting value, and outstanding customer service through the day-to-day workflow processes that affect Holiday Builders. The Title Insurance Closing Agent is responsible for preparing closing documents, assisting parties with clearing title requirements, balancing funds involved in the transaction, fulfilling ledger load requirements, scheduling, and conducting the closing transaction, including the issuance of closing funds (Escrow Checks) and resolution of post-closing issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/experience

High School graduate or equivalent

Title Insurance license a plus but not required.

2 years directly related experience

Skills/Abilities

• Title Insurance Settlement experience required.
• Knowledge of title insurance laws, regulations, and procedures
• Knowledge of legal documents, escrow procedures and terminology, proration of taxes, insurance, and similar costs
• Knowledge of the basic principles of mortgage lending
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and understand real estate purchase contracts, lender instructions and/or escrow instructions received from lender counsel for any type of closing transaction.
• Strong Customer Service background
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain attention to detail and follow through.
• A self-starter that is task-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities and priorities.

Physical Demands

Able to lift, push, or move 10 to 25 pounds without assistance.

Requires the ability to climb, stoop, kneel or crouch to gain access to equipment, files, and office supplies.
