Holicki Eye Center is Hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant Near Angola, IN

Overview:

We are seeking a few dedicated Ophthalmic Assistants to join our awesome eyecare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge of medical practices and preferably Ophthalmology or Optometry. However, with a background in the medical field, we can train the right candidate for these positions. This is great opportunity to begin a very rewarding career in the medical field. Attention to detail, excellent attendance, team work, willingness to travel to other offices weekly, reliable transportation and availability from 6:45 - 5:45 at any office location is required. Wage based on experience.

Duties:

- Assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care with exams and procedures.
- Perform preliminary eye function testing such as visual acuity, visual fields, and color vision
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, scribing for provider when needed.
- Administer eye medications as directed by the physician
- Conduct diagnostic tests including tonometry and visual field testing
- Maintain examination rooms and equipment

Requirements:
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Strong patient care skills
- Understanding of anatomy
- Ability to take vital signs accurately

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
