Overview:
Holcim Building Envelope, a global leader in building materials and solutions, is seeking a dedicated Quality Management System Manager to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is crucial for promoting and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with the required industry standards and business requirements. This role is designed for a proactive and knowledgeable individual who can effectively manage system compliance, lead training programs, and handle audit non-conformities to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence. *This position is based in our headquarters in Nashville, TN.*
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Sustain QMS:
    • Establish and maintain a robust QMS framework that aligns with ISO 9001 requirements and integrates seamlessly with our operational procedures;
    • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes. Introduce new processes and procedures where appropriate.
  • Ensure Ongoing Compliance:
    • Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 standards across all departments. Manage all external QMS registration requirements to ensure they are met;
    • Act as the liaison between the company and external bodies on all matters related to registration.
  • Training and Development:
    • Lead comprehensive training sessions for staff across all levels on the aspects of the QMS and its applications. Equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize the QMS effectively in their daily operations;
    • Be aware of and understand changes in standards, regulations, and updates to quality standards and requirements.
  • Audit Management:
    • Conduct regular interna and process audits of the QMS;
    • Facilitate and support audits conducted by Third Parties and Certification Bodies;
    • Manage audit non-conformity database and ensure timely resolution of any non-conformities. Develop strategies to prevent recurrence of issues and enhance the overall quality of processes.
  • Documentation:
    • Ensure all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy customer, business and audit requirements. Manage the document control process and database;
    • Develop and maintain practices to ensure all internal systems and supporting procedures are reviewed and revised as necessary to meet the needs of the company and external certification bodies.
  • Reporting:
    • Develop key metrics and report on the performance of the QMS to top management and other stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on audit results, feedback from stakeholders, and analysis of performance data. Promote a culture of quality and excellence within the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience in quality management systems, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting;
    • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent professional certification;
    • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience in managing compliance with these standards;
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and motivate teams;
    • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills;
      • Familiarity with building materials and envelope solutions is a plus.
  • Secondary Qualifications:
    • Certifications:
      • Six Sigma certification is ideal.
    • Analytical:
      • Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Location:
      • Willingness and ability to work in Nashville, TN, or to relocate to this location to work in our HQ office.
