Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Provides patient transport, general cleaning, equipment cleaning, gathering equipment, specimen transport, room turnover, performing shave preps as needed in the pre-op area

· Assists OR team with patient care (positioning and prepping) under direction of MD/RN/Tech

· Prepare for next procedure by setting up trays, supplies, etc. and maintain supplies for modalities

· Deliver quality patient care to all patients at all times, and maintain operating rooms in accordance with the professional and regulatory standards, philosophy, and goals

· Other duties may include:

• Preparing and assembling highly specialized equipment
• Understanding the rationale for Operating Room cleaning practices, and consistently demonstrating proper guidelines for room cleaning
• Assisting with patient transfers and remains with patients while awaiting their procedures as needed

High School diploma

Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability

Ability to carry out instructions with exceptional attention to detail

One (1) year of patient care experience in a surgery setting preferred

Knowledge of surgical equipment preferred

Certification Requirements

BLS

Pay: $17.30 - $24.60 per hour
