The Water Jet Operator is responsible for supporting the daily engineering and manufacturing activities by operating the Omax Water Jet.

This position will need to be fliexibel with the shift, there may be days they may need to work from 4 : 00 pm to 12 : 30 am

Specific responsibilities include :

• Program Laser Jet machine and be able to perform nesting operations
• Operate and oversee maintenance of laser cutting machines.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Ensure the quality and precision of finished products.
• Collaborate with the production team to fulfill deadlines.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a tidy work environment.
• Responsible for water jet machine operations associated with quantity production of identical units.
• Start and stop the machine, load / feed the machine, and watch machines operation.
• Monitor production to ensure quality and perform verifications and inspection of the product and the machine.
• Make sure the equipment is in top operation performance by calling for repairs when needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Make’s sure the job and materials are of superior quality.
• Any other general machine operation tasks or responsibilities assigned by his or her supervisors.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience :

• High School Diploma, GEO or Equivalent
• Minimum of two years operating a Laser Jet machine
• Experienced reading blue prints
• Eperience in metalworking procedures
• Experienced in the used of hand tools and measurement instruments
• CNC experience a plus

Supervisory Responsibility - this position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment this job operates in a shop environment where exposure to heat is frequent.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work - this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 to 5 Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel this position does not have travel requirements.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications - must be able to pass a background check and drug test
