Primary Purpose of the Role The primary objective of the National Account Manager is to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals within the parameters of assigned and targeted profit structures.Essential Job DutiesThe primary objective of the National Account Manager is to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals within the parameters of assigned and targeted profit structures.Proactively initiate and participate in defining, evaluating, analyzing, establishing, and implementing key sales strategies and tactics.Develop account initiatives in accordance with overall corporate and channel specific strategies.Conduct regular reviews of business performance and growth opportunities.Forecast, budget and track account revenues and profit.Coordinate account and market reviews of key metrics and develop, apply and communicate best practices and key learning.Develop proposals, negotiate terms and conditions and implement agreements with accountability for delivering targeted and budgeted financial results.Provide leadership and direction and actively participate in defining all pricing strategies for all branded and private label products ensuring adherence to profit objectives.Provide accurate forecast information to Marketing and Production Planning..Cultivate and directly participate in new product development as it relates to addressing opportunities that are associated to product, merchandising, packaging and distribution.Conduct proper field research and market study to fully understand competitive positioning and communicate and collaborate findings, conclusions and opportunities.Work with Marketing and Finance to assemble individual account and program P&Ls for Director/VP of Sales and Finance Director for evaluation and approval.Communicate needs and participate with new product and design development activity in conjunction with the other Sales and Marketing Managers.Required Skills & Abilities Must have working knowledge and practical use of Computer programs and data tools including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, & Power Point.Ideal candidates will have experience working with and developing business within the Foodservice industry; End users, Distributors, etc.Strong presentation and negotiation skills.Experience developing and managing customer relationships.Highly motivated with the ability to work as part of a team while also offering significant independent contributions.Minimum Bachelors degree required. Graduate Degree preferredMinimum 3-5 years related experience in key account sales management.#HGISalary2920
