Hoffmann Hillermann Nursery & Florist is a small business in Washington, MO. The company is diversified with many departments including: Nursery, Garden Center, Floral/Gift Shop, Outdoor Equipment, and Landscape/Irrigation.

We are looking for a Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems, including checking systems for proper operation and timing. Position may include participating in the design or modification of new or existing systems. Will include performing seasonal maintenance such as charging and draining systems and maintaining inventory of related parts and supplies. May lead workers on irrigation projects and work on other grounds related assignments as needed.

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, materials, and methods of irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and drawings. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines, digging tools and other related grounds/landscape equipment. Able to lead and direct the work of others and work in safe and efficient manner. Backflow Certification Required.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license. Two years irrigation installation and maintenance experience. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift. Must be able to work outdoors in different weather and temperature conditions.
