Hoffman Homes is a community of employees gathered on one campus to help children understand and manage their mental health diagnosis.

Hoffman Academy represents the education department of Hoffman Homes for Youth. Hoffman Academy offers special education and regular education services to students in need of an alternative environment from the typical educational setting. Hoffman Academy is looking for a teacher to fulfill a role in our elementary classroom for the 24/25 school year. All teaching certifications will be considered.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Develops and administers curriculum
• Manages a classroom of students who may be at various skill levels.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials
• Teaches knowledge and skills in designated subject area
• Keeps record of performance for each student.
• Works as part of team assigned to each student that may involve the therapist and direct care staff of any students residing at Hoffman Homes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• PA State Teacher Certification or the Ability to achieve certification. Special Education, Dually Certified preferred.
• All necessary clearances will be processed.
