Hoefer Welker has an openings for an experienced Interior Designer with an exceptional creative design portfolio and will collaborate in all phases of healthcare project design from programming and conceptual design through documentation, construction administration and selection and/or coordination of FFE and artwork. We are seeking an engaging designer with a passion for architecture and interior design that has the ability to collaborate. This person will maintain cooperative working relationships, internally and externally, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit and forward thinking attitude.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead Interior design scope on healthcare projects
• Develop space plans and programming documents
• Participate in the development of project schedule and delivery
• Overall knowledge of construction documentation and process
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare materials and appropriate application of finishes
• Engage with clients and key stakeholders to guide decision making
• Ability to handle multiple projects as well as delegate assignments and meet project deadlines
• Ability to assist in production and development of design proposals
• Overall knowledge of furniture specifications and budgets

Education/Experience/Certifications: 

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Architecture or Interior Design with 8 years of relevant interiors project experience required. A creative design portfolio is required.
• AIA or NCIDQ certification or architectural registration preferred.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment. 

Qualifications/Skills: 

• The proper candidate will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, teamwork, presentation and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Revit with experience in Revit rendering. Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite experience desired.
• Graphics and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
• Strong knowledge of design process
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take action confidently and decisively
