HOCKLEY COUNTY SEEKING COURT BAILIFF

Job duties:

Providing security for the courthouse and in court during criminal and civil proceedings in the County and District Courts. Providing routine security checks around the courthouse and in the courtrooms prior to court proceedings, maintaining order during court proceedings, securing prisoners and service of civil process and warrants as required.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an active Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Peace Officer License; have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to attend continuing and initial training as required; and understand court and civil processes.

This is a part-time position of 29 hours per week that offers retirement benefits and a competitive hourly wage. This position will begin July 15, 2024. The commission for this position will be carried by the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office.
