Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a corporate, in-house setting and build real-world graphic design experience? HNTB, one of the nation's leading infrastructure engineering firms, is looking for an intern with energy and enthusiasm to join our marketing team in Downtown Milwaukee! You will work directly with our team of professional graphic designers and marketing specialists to gain a true understanding of the strategy, process, and skills needed to make successful design happen.

The ideal candidate will bring a passion and enthusiasm for designing functional marketing pieces (layout, infographics, maps, covers, ads etc.), be eager to learn, be a team player and want to develop strong skills for working in a professional environment.

As part of this role, you will assist with designing page layouts and infographics for proposals; supporting general PR and brand building (including brochures, LinkedIn post graphics, etc.); shadowing graphic designers at meetings; collaborating with marketing specialists to create strong, visually appealing messages; and have opportunities to work on special projects, as assigned.

Our Milwaukee, WI office is seeking a Graphic Design Intern.

Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.

What You’ll Do:

• Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.

• Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.

• Assists management in analyzing various data.

• Works on special projects and provides research as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program

What We Prefer:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Graphic Design or related field.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to work independently yet also be a team player

• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and work under deadlines
