Cybersecurity Analyst - Microsoft Defender Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst with specialized expertise in Microsoft Defender to join our dynamic team. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data by implementing and managing security measures, with a primary focus on Microsoft Defender.
Key Responsibilities:

• Microsoft Defender Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on Microsoft Defender, staying current with the latest features, updates, and best practices.
• Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Office 365 to enhance our organization's security posture.
• Threat Detection and Response: Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by Microsoft Defender, investigating and responding to potential threats promptly.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to develop and execute action plans to mitigate security incidents effectively.
• Policy Development and Enforcement:
Develop and implement security policies and configurations within Microsoft Defender to align with organizational security requirements.
• Enforce security policies and standards, conducting regular assessments to ensure compliance.
• Security Incident Handling:
Participate in the development of incident response procedures specific to Microsoft Defender.
• Provide expertise during security incidents, contributing to the investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Threat Intelligence Integration:
Integrate threat intelligence feeds into Microsoft Defender for proactive identification and prevention of emerging threats.
• Collaborate with external security organizations to stay informed about the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Security Awareness and Training:
Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training related to Microsoft Defender for end-users and IT staff.
• Foster a culture of security consciousness within the organization.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years’ experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, with a focus on Microsoft Defender.
• Microsoft Defender certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Defender Security Operations Analyst) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and security architecture
• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, and vulnerability management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.
• Willingness to stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
