**POSITION SUMMARY**

Field assistance at Woodland, CA Parent Seed Production site to include the transport of seed from Woodland to Modesto, during harvest.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES**

Assist with greenhouse sowing, field planting, cage construction, and plant trellising.

Operate farm machinery to include: transplanter, cultivator, sprayer, and harvester equipment.

Assist with plant counts and field rouging.

Assist with cage repairs, irrigation maintenance, and filling/transporting ball tanks.

Transportation of seed from our Woodland production will be delivered daily to our processing facility in Modesto, during harvest period.

Will need to obtain load sheets from parent seed representative at our production site, certify that all documentation is correct, and make sure each wet seed container has corresponding bin tags.

Assist with loading bins, buckets, etc. into transportation vehicle, ensuring the load is properly secured.

Coordinate and assist with cage deconstruction, including transportation of all field materials/equipment at the time of field exit.

Follow all in-field sanitation procedures that are outlined by HM Clause protocols.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**

Below high school diploma with relevant experience; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Minimum of 1 year related experience

Possess a valid California Drivers' license.

Ability to drive a full-size pickup truck

English and Bilingual in Spanish preferred

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequent work in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
