Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator/ Assistant to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in estimating all new high end residential projects for our company. Your expertise in estimating costs, bidding to subcontractors, coordinating finish schedules for bidding will contribute to the success of our organization. In addition to estimating we require the candidate to assist with purchasing materials for our projects. The candidate will work closely with the project managers to assist with some of their projects. This is an office based full time job. The ideal candidate should have a design/architecture back ground with a great understanding of reading architectural plans. This job requires the candidate to be able to prioritize tasks and comfortable following up with various people via email and phone calls.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the bidding process
- Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers to help assist with their orders and other misc. tasks
- Ordering materials and organizing finish schedules for project managers

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Proficient in using excel and other Microsoft products
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors

- Bluebeam knowledge (training available)

- CAD is a plus
