Job Description

Engineering Technician to support the Houston A&D team on day-to-day functions. The candidate will work alongside engineers, geologists and investment banking professionals to derive financial valuations for use in acquisitions and divestitures, corporate M&A and general client services.

  • Conduct short-term studies and economic analysis for A&D opportunities

  • Responsible for managing and absorbing VDRs to generate field evaluations

  • Generate type curves with supporting economic parameters to evaluate economic results

  • Prepare economic models for single well and life of field

  • Generate single well forecasts in ARIES and/or QC existing databases

  • Analyze lease operating statements and create field expense models and projections

  • Work with geology to understand sub-surface properties and impact on well performance

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Education & Experience

  • 6 years of industry and or banking experience

  • Proficient in ARIES with minimum 3 years of experience

  • Detailed oriented and is well versed in Upstream workflows (i.e. type curve analysis, cost structure, oil & gas financials, etc.)

  • Ability to work with multiple and changing priorities, fast-paced environment, short deadlines and the ability to respond in high-stress situations

  • Proficient in reserve evaluation and economic analysis of petroleum assets

  • Basic knowledge of geology, drilling, completions, production engineering, and production operations

  • Proficient in Excel, Access, PPT, Enverus, and Tableau or Spotfire

  • Data analytics experience, ability to extract data from large structured and unstructured data sets

  • Personable with strong communication skills, team oriented and line of site to presenting in front of clients
