Were seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Portfolio Analyst (Trust Real Estate Property Manager) to join our Wealth Management team. The role is based at home, located in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. The role is eligible for flexible work arrangement.

In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for all day-to-day operations in the management, acquisition, and sale of a variety of real estate assets that may include beneficiary occupied residential, rental, commercial, timber, and oil, gas and mineral interest.
  • Responsibilities include, mitigating risk, ensuring the completion of necessary repairs for the preservation and improvement of the real estate assets, payment of utility bills, taxes and insurance, etc.
  • Ensure risks are appropriately analyzed regarding the acquisition of real estate investment opportunities through an extensive due diligence process.
  • Hire and coordinate with vendors to maintain and preserve the real estate assets.
  • Support disposition efforts of real estate assets including contract negotiation, transaction management and ensuring successful settlement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners such as Estate Planning Group, Portfolio Management, Compliance and Legal.
  • Ability to travel to real estate asset locations for annual inspections, monitoring and overseeing complex projects, meet with client or vendors, etc.
  • Provide real estate asset management expertise and high levels of client service for a complex portfolio of real estate assets.
  • Perform all duties and act in accordance with client investment needs, governing documents, fiduciary standards, and the banks policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

  • A strong understanding of Wealth Management and Asset Management lines of business, and extensive experience with real estate portfolio management and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of the leasing process and ability to negotiate residential and commercial lease renewals and extensions.
  • Knowledge of the real estate sale process and ability to independently negotiate the listing and sale of real estate.
  • 5-7 years of real estate experience including at least 3 years of residential and/or commercial sales and management of various real estate assets.
  • 3 years experience in a Trust environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required with additional course work in finance, real estate management, and Trust School preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $58,900 and $81,400 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
