Where You’ll be Working

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work our Detroit Lakes MN location, located at: 2687 US HWY 10W, Detroit Lakes MN 56501

How You’ll Perform the Role

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at Hirshfield’s Baxter paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. Those in this role will prepare customers' paint orders promptly and precisely, which involves tinting and mixing paint, preparing draw-downs for customers, maintaining accurate customer information

• 18 years of age or older
• Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
• Be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 60 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours. Shifts are available Mon – Friday between 7am to 5pm with the rotating Saturday shift of 9am to 1pm, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to distinguish the difference between colors, a skill used when color matching or tinting paint, with or without reasonable accommodation

These are not required for you to be eligible to apply but are preferred.

• Prior work experience in retail or customer service
• Prior experience as a paint mixer with the ability to understand pigment variations and characteristics and the tinting process.
• High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED)
