HireWorks is partnered with an industry leading manufacturer seeking to hire a Construction Estimator in Corona, CA!

The Construction Estimator should obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate materials, and estimate based on the company pricing structure. You should also be aware of your market to determine whether your estimates are both reasonable and competitive.

A Construction Estimator should be able to translate project requirements into concrete figures with ease and adhere to financial constraints without compromising on high moral standards and integrity.

Objectives

  • Utilizing existing tools to review projects in the design development, construction document, and bidding phases of construction
  • Interpret and extrapolate information for blueprints and architectural specifications
  • Provide information that will be entered into companies CRM daily
  • Submit and receive answers to “Request for Information” (RFIs) to architects and contractors regarding any discrepancies with the plans and specifications.
  • Seek clarification of any potential conflict and ensure that the results are published by the architect before the bid date.
  • Accurate interpretation of the scope of work.
  • Ensure that all bid documents and requirements of bidders are correctly submitted.
  • At times you will be required to provide a takeoff of quantities and sizes for all our products in our scope of work.
  • Input takeoff numbers into our quote system and compile an accurate estimate.
  • Make sure pricing is within all pricing matrix guidelines
  • Work with Project Management regarding all installation labor rates or requirements.
  • Assist project closers with any questions that arise during the negotiation process in securing contracts, by conference call with the customer if necessary.
  • Answer any questions and assist the drafting department regarding any discrepancies during the submittal process.
  • Assist the project management with the quick turnaround of “Change Order” proposals.
  • Provide support to the Commercial Construction team as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in Microsoft computer software, Client Management Systems (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and/or construction management software, (Dodge, Construct Connect) a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in construction products estimating
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the architectural openings industry within Divisions 8 (openings), 9 (finishes), and 10 (specialties) is a plus.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish

Work Conditions:

  • Construction Estimator reports to the Inside Sales Manager and has no direct reports
  • Ability to work in an office setting utilizing a computer for daily tasks
  • 0% travel required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
