Job Summary

If you're interested in an Entry Level Technology Development Field Assistant job, then this is the best role for you. Technology Development & Agronomy Organization Field Assistants to support operations. The positions will be located at various Technology Development (TD) locations across the US. While on assignment, you will report directly to the ARM or TDR, who is responsible for coordinating the local field research program. The Field Assistants will serve as key members of the local TD team that generates high quality product data for our customers and will have opportunities to interact with client representatives and farmer cooperators.

Job Description

• Inspect existing fence and maintain inspection records.
• Repair fence lines.
• Build new fence as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Inventory of supplies.
• Request of supplies.
• Spray weeds where/as needed.
• Inventory of control chemicals and equipment.
• Help with reclamation as needed.
• Install wattles.
• Spreading seed and/or fertilizer.
• Assist with wetland requirements on the ranch.
• Assist herbicide treatment and seeding/planting of the FHR project.
• Keep detailed daily logs.

Skills Required

• Operate GPS device.
• Experience in fence line installation and repair as needed.
• Walk up to 1 mile a day on difficult terrain.
• Lift up to 50 pounds at one time
• Spend extended amount of time outside and in the elements.
• Ability to operate light duty vehicles.
• Experience with operating equipment, such as tractor, backhoe, skid steer, etc.
• Identify noxious weeds.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma.
• MSHA 50023d Certificate
• State Applicator License

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Shift: 06:00 AM
