Job Description

Java Full Stack position, Client is lookingfor an architect kind of resource and below are the mandatory skill set:

• Strong Java script as front end
• Postgress or any back end tool
• AWS
• Good Cloud computing knowledge 

Timezone requirement: Pacific Time.

·Modernizean existing analytics dashboard with current technologies.

·Builddistributed computing capabilities for the team.

·CalibrateVicon motion capture systems.

·Managelab equipment.

·Troubleshootfailures and keep the lab running smoothly.

·Collaboratewith engineers to bring up and/or maintain complex lab infrastructure.

·Keeplab equipment well calibrated and ready for testing.

In Scope

·Beavailable on-site in the labs 5 days a week for troubleshooting issues,calibrating systems, and assisting engineers when problems arise.

·Modernizean existing analytics dashboard to make use of current technologies that scalewith the team’s need and allow for greater flexibility and modern visualizationsolutions. This work includes both back-end and front-end development andmanagement.

·Builda distributed computing solution that takes advantage of cloud infrastructureto speed up processing time.

·Calibratetest equipment, particularly Vicon motion capture systems, in a timely andefficient manner.

·Collaboratewith engineers, vendors, and facilities to order, set up, install, and maintaintest equipment/infrastructure, and keep the lab organized and stocked up.

·Manageequipment between multiple buildings, and be able to transport yourself andequipment between them.

·Clear,timely, and effective communication with team members to communicate status andraise issues.

SuccessCriteria/Definition of Done

·Completionof an end to end solution for processing test results through a distributedcomputing solution (cloud computing), storing data and files (database andobject storage), and visualizing them through a web frontend.

·Allautomation infrastructure runs smoothly, and issues that arise are root-causedand addressed correctly and in a timely manner.

·Calibrationand lab management tasks are performed in a timely manner and don’t pile up.

·Statusand issues are communicated clearly and timely with the team, eliminatingconfusion and/or misunderstandings.

·Requestsfor support from the team are handled in a timely and correct manner (based onany available instructions and attention to detail).

·Afterthe initial ramp-up with the team’s tools and processes is completed,individual can effectively work independently.

TechnicalRequirements

·Proficiencyin full-stack development and has a sense for UI design and is familiar withReactJS, NodeJS, and PostgresSQL

·Proficiencyin Python and Javascript

·Experiencein distributed computing and other technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, andAWS

·Proficiencywith macOS operating system and macOS Terminal

·Highlevel of comfort with fasteners and assembling mechanical fixtures

·Excellentorganization skills that can be applied to lab management

·Strongtroubleshooting skills

·Abilityto learn and adapt quickly

·Strongattention to detail

·Strongtime-management skills

·Strongcommunication skills

·Abilityto multitask and deliver results under pressure and/or competing priorities
