Job Responsibilities:
- Record, verify, consolidate, and input transactions to maintain the integrity of accounting information.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain and balance subsidiary accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Review and oversee the preparation of bank reconciliations and journal entries by the Staff Accountant.
- Maintain and reconcile schedules for fixed assets, prepaid and accrued expenses, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in researching and adjusting discrepancies related to various inventory accounts reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy of General Ledger accounts by reviewing Accounts Payable transactions.
- Collaborate with the Controller on month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and ensure visibility of operational performance.
- Participate in the annual audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for external auditors.
- Provide ad hoc support to others within the Finance Organization as projects arise.
- Hold an Accounting Degree with 5 years of accounting experience.
- Demonstrate above-average proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Possess in-depth General Ledger knowledge.
- Exhibit strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- Have experience with Inventory and Cost accounting concepts.
- Comfortably navigate ambiguity and manipulate large amounts of data.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and motivate others.
- Meet month-end and day-to-day deadlines in a timely manner.
- Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have experience working in a small to medium-sized manufacturing business environment.
- Be a highly energized team player with the ability to operate effectively in a family-owned organization.
