Industrial Welder - Gainesville, GA

Overview:
We're looking for a skilled Industrial Welder to join our team. As an Industrial Welder, you will fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. You'll read and interpret blueprints, work with other team members to complete projects, and ensure safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welding and Fabrication:

    • Weld and assemble metal components using processes such as MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding.
    • Perform cutting, grinding, and other preparation tasks before welding.
    • Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  2. Blueprint Interpretation:

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to understand project requirements.
    • Calculate dimensions and specifications before welding.
  3. Repair and Maintenance:

    • Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing equipment and structures.
    • Identify issues and provide solutions to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  4. Safety Compliance:

    • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
    • Ensure work area is safe, organized, and free of hazards.
    • Report any safety issues or concerns to supervisors.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other team members and departments to complete projects.
    • Communicate progress and potential challenges to supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited welding school is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a welder in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.
