Hire Heroes USA is Hiring a Remote Idaho Program Coordinator

Position

Reporting to the Idaho Program Manager, the Idaho Program Coordinator supports the Hire Heroes USA and Mission 43 collaboration and will assist the Program Manager in planning and executing support and events for Hire Heroes USA including educational workshops, employment panels, seminars, and other employment centric events. This role will work closely with Hire Heroes USA, Mission 43 stakeholders, volunteers, community partners and advocates to plan, coordinate, and implement events designed to educate and improve active duty transitioning military service members, military veterans, and military spouse employment opportunities throughout the State of Idaho. 

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who is open to new concepts and ideas. This team thrives on going outside of the box and is always willing to go the extra mile to best serve our members and clients.

*This is a full-time, hybrid position. Candidate must reside in Idaho. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a community connector to act as a primary contact for statewide employers and entities seeking to hire Mission43 members and Hire Heroes USA clients
  • Provide 1:1 engagement on-site with Mission43 members and Hire Heroes USA clients while serving as a subject matter expert for the Employment Pillar
  • Support Transition Specialists in resolving Idaho client issues and research education and employment opportunities through event attendee follow-up and outreach 
  • Conduct sourcing and matching strategies to provide Idaho job-seeking clients with opportunities through the dynamic employer network
  • Collect metrics on information sessions, workshops, and programs; identify trends to improve attendance, service delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Make significant contributions to the definition of contents/agendas, speakers, and research agendas for special projects
  • Assist in facilitating events, leading round table discussions, and working with clients while on-site and throughout the state of Idaho
  • Present feedback to leadership and recommend actions for future programming and continuous improvement
  • Assist in producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
  • Develop training content and materials to improve organizational efforts
  • Support organization events and fundraisers as needed

Desired Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to translate career topics to audiences of widely different levels of experience and knowledge
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of career exploration, effective job search tactics, and strategy, and overall career planning and management
  • Proficiency with Salesforce Lightning, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, and Social Media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook 
  • Ability to gather and synthesize large amounts of information to develop the expertise needed to support the evolving needs of the partnership 
  • Ability to create and manage relationships via phone, text, and email with a demographically diverse client population at varying stages of their education, work, and life
  • Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to adjust your style across a diverse set of conversations
  • Experience with public speaking – able to present/speak on webinars, workshops, podcasts, and other public platforms
  • Preference for candidates with familiarity with U.S. military structure, including organizations, culture, and characteristics, and familiarity with the U.S. military and veteran community
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple project and initiatives at one time
 

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • General office environment; temperature-controlled
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment, e.g. copiers, phones, computers
  • Travel Required: Up to 30%
  • Sitting for extended periods of time

Estimated New Hire Salary: $44,750 - $50,403 annually 

Hire Heroes USA may offer additional compensation to include: Annual bonuses, merit increases, cost of living, special or extra assignments outside scope of the role, cell phone stipend, internet stipend, relocation, awards, compensatory time off, overtime, and gaining knowledge and proficiency through certifications and licensing.
