The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is currently seeking applicants who for the position of Overnight Utility/Houseperson.

Regular shift hours are from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. This will not change. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their experience with and/or commitment to working the overnight shift.

The Hilton Short Pump is owned and operated by Shamin Hotels, central Virginia's largest hotel management company. We own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags and have tripled in size to 70 hotels over the past ten years.

Job Duties

The primary focus of the job is on housekeeping and working with night auditors to ensure guest service is maintained to brand standards during the overnight period. Performance of the job will include any or all of the following:

• Clean and maintain hotel lobby, restrooms, conference center, elevators, patio, pool and other areas.
• Use buffers and other equipment to clean floors and carpets in common areas.
• Work with night auditors to handle guest requests.
• Handle minor maintenance requests as appropriate.
• Walk property to inspect areas for safety and security concerns.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Must be ready, willing and able to work the overnight shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., every Thursday through Sunday night. 
• Must have successful experience being in a responsible position with limited supervision.
• Must be a team player.
• Experience in housekeeping, hospitality or customer service would be beneficial but not required. 
• Must have an eye for detail and take pride in a job well done, including maintaining excellent cleanliness scores. 
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
