The Conrad Award winning, Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Airport, is offering an exciting opportunity for a friendly, energetic, dependable, guest-focused individual to work in Preventative Maintenance, willing to work weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate must multi-task effectively and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position's primary shift is Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What will I be doing?

As Preventative Maintenance, you are responsible for inspecting each guest room for any maintenance needs and touch ups, utilizing a program called Quore. This program will provide a checklist for each room. You will report directly to the Area Engineer and Maintenance on site. You will be groomed to advance your knowledge and skills that can potentially lead to another role. You will be removing trash from the guest rooms, public areas and exterior areas of the hotel. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Follow and maintain a preventative maintenance program
• Use of tools and equipment safely around self and others
• Provide a clean and safe environment for guests
• Proactively maintain assigned areas and equipment
• Report all safety, maintenance and housekeeping concerns to management
• Be environmentally aware
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

General Responsibilities

• Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy
• Assist other departments when needed and perform other related duties as assigned
• Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner
• Maintain effective performance under pressure
• Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Frequently standing up or moving within and about the facility.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50lbs and pushing and/or pulling approximately 200lbs.
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and associates.
• Basic reading and writing abilities are utilized often when reading assignments, completing checklist, replacing linens and amenities.
