Opportunity: Receiving and Beverage Clerk

An opportunity for a detail oriented individual to work within our purchasing department, primarily responsible for performing purchasing functions to ensure the purchases of food & beverage products specified in purchasing orders, while doing so according to established standards and procedures. This individual will also be responsible for general administrative functions, loading dock and cleanliness and coordination with associates in various states across the country.

Essential Job Functions

• In this position, you will use a forklift or pallet jack for loading and unloading trucks
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Move items to/from staging area using a forklift or pallet jack
• Ensure items are packaged safely before shipping
• Document both shipping and receiving information
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Proficient in operating both stand up and sit-down forklifts
• Read and interpret shipping labels
• Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and
• exception formsHand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary
• Frequent contact with production facility personnel; fast paced and deadline oriented
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Previous purchasing/inventory experience or equivalent training preferred.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
