LSF is looking for a Qualified , talented Facilities Maintenance Custodian­­­­­­­­­­­­­ who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

Purpose and Impact:

This position is responsible for is responsible for maintaining the facility in a functional, presentable, and safe condition. This includes picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors , cleaning and stocking bathrooms , cleaning windows , and minor building maintenance and repairs .

Essential Functions:

• Maintain program facility in a safe, functional and presentable manner.
• Assist in preforming general repair/maintenance to include, but not limited to electrical , building , plumbing , landscaping , painting , carpentry , and basic remodeling .
• Ensure all maintenance equipment and supplies are accounted for at all times.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and security of all maintenance equipment and supplies related to the facility and grounds.
• Respond to all work orders in a timely manner.
• Request maintenance supplies and equipment as needed from maintenance supervisor or designee.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Gather and remove litter.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, and other grounds features.
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

A combination of one of the following:

• Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in maintenance work preferred.
• Formal maintenance training.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, basic construction knowledge and skills.
