Toddler through Middle School Music Teacher:

Hilltop Montessori School in Birmingham, AL is looking for a part-time Music teacher for 2024-2025 school year for students ages 18 months through 8th grade. Attendance at some evening school events and after school staff meetings is also required. Hilltop Montessori School is an AMS accredited Montessori School established in 1996. We are located outside of Birmingham, AL in the township of Mt. Laurel on 7 acres in a beautiful wooded community. Preferred Qualifications

• experience teaching Music in an Elementary and Middle School setting
• leading students in musical performances
• comfortable using technology in order to enhance the learning experience
• able to plan and deliver engaging curriculum through remote learning methods if needed
• is able to collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency of program, to develop curriculum and to coordinate activities and interdisciplinary
• able to accompany children singing while playing the piano
• able to plan and execute school and community musical performances
• Montessori classroom experience (preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Authorized for employment in the U.S.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Master’s Degree (preferred)
• Montessori experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of Orff instruments (preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Authorized for employment in the U.S.
