Assistant Teacher Job Description
Hilltop Learning Center is a non-profit, faith-based mission of the Malvern United Methodist Church. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the lead teachers in their classrooms: observing, monitoring and supervising the children, helping to implement the lesson plans and any duties needed to allow the classroom to run smoothly. The teacher will work with and report to the Hilltop Learning Center director. All rules from the Employee Manual and state licensing rules should be followed, including maintaining a friendly, professional attitude at all times.

It is imperative for employees to have a pleasant, respectful attitude toward each other. Teachers should share their work and ideas. Positive cooperation is essential. When difficulties arise, please try to state differences openly and kindly. Look at your own behavior as well as the other employee’s. If you have a problem with another staff member that you cannot resolve, see the director.
