Nursing Staff & Central Supply Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling of nursing staff to meet facility, state, and federal requiremnts. This position also maintains an accurate inventory of all items located in central supply, as well as orders supplies for each nursing unit.

Nursing Staff & Central Supply Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks prior to schedule start.
• Contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedule when required.
• Maintains a current listing of employee contact numbers for call-in
• Cooordinates time off request with the DON
• Notifies DON of short staff situations
• Maintains call-off records for nursing staff that misses shifts, and produces reports for management
• Coordinates with DON to secure contract labor when required
• Collects and fills supply requisitions, as well as deliver and stock the supplies in correct nursing units
• Upon Supervisors approval, orders medical and office supplies from designated vendors
• Receives supply shipments and routing packing slips to the appropriate department heads
• Maintains an organized, neat, and accurate inventory storage and record.

Nursing Staff & Central Supply Coordinator Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a CNA or STNA with a minimum of one (1) year of LTC Experience 
• Must have great time management skills
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, their family members or guardians, and management of all levels of the organization
• Must be detail-oriented, concise, and precise
• Must have knowledge of overtime regulations
• Must have knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
• Must have the ability to operate a personal computer
