ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

• Perform the housekeeping and cleaning duties in the cottages, offices, and school, and for offsite locations as needed.
• Keep walls, windows, and sills clean.
• Wash kitchen countertops and appliance exteriors, refill soap and towel dispensers, and clean and straighten cabinets.
• Wash bathroom sinks, toilets, mirrors, and other surfaces; refill towel and toilet paper dispensers and refill soap dispensers
• Vacuum rugs, and dust living areas and office areas; straighten bookshelves, dust or clean tables and desks.
• Clean behind laundry room appliances and sink; clean the dryer lint trap and washer and dryer exteriors.
• Turn off any appliances not in use.
• Mop vinyl floors in kitchens, bathrooms and hallways.
• Empty waste containers, sweep front and back entrances and trash areas.
• Report any maintenance problems through proper procedures.
• Report housekeeping problems, concerns or ideas to the supervisor.
• Other duties as required.
• This position (195) is responsible for filling in for other housekeeping staff when they are out. This may require working weekends if the replaced staff's shift is during the weekend. Overtime can be required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCEand CERTIFICATES

• Professional demeanor and an understanding and appreciation of the needs of the clients and agency as to cleanliness.
• Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier.
