As an RN at Hillside, you will be responsible for the evaluation and delivery of quality health care services to children and youth. A Hillside RN will work to maintain high standards of quality both individually and in concert with the team of Hillside Nursing staff. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform assessments on clients with illness, injury, or health related/psychological concerns. Reports any significant finding to the appropriate medical provider and guardian, when appropriate. Carries out the prescribed intervention.
• Transcribe all information accurately and efficiently and carries out orders for treatment as medically prescribed.
• Administer medication safely, accurately and per best practice, NYS and agency guidelines. Is attentive in monitoring for any adverse effects.
• Oversee and supervise care provided by the LPN and other health office staff.
• Provide assessments, monitoring and care to the youth in the event of a physical restraint, following all regulatory requirements.
• Administer first aid during emergency situations and coordinates patient care until EMS arrives or the youth is transported to an emergency department.
• Consult and coordinate with treatment team providers such as the MD, NP, and Clinician, as well as others as applicable to assure continuity and quality of care.
• Assure that the mental health and physical health needs of each child/youth are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• NYS license as a Registered Nurse
• Valid unrestricted New York State Driver's License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.

$24.97 Minimum Rate per hour, $37.45 Maximum Rate per hour, based on experience.
