We have an amazing opportunity for a Clinician II - Youth ACT at our Rochester, NY location.

As a Hillside Clinician II, you will be responsible for the assessment and delivery of quality mental health care to the youth and families that we serve. You will work on a team, assessing a young person and their family's needs, while developing, evaluating and modifying the individual service plan in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary treatment team in partnership with the young person and their family.

This is an extremely rewarding position for someone who enjoys working with youth who are considered "high risk" due to challenges with mental health. It involves going into homes, schools and other community based settings. Hours are flexible, however some evening work is required in order to be available when youth and families are available. There is also an on-call rotation--typically for one week every 4-5 weeks.
The position works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
The position requires a license as a mental health practitioner (LCAT, LMFT, LMHC, LMSW or LCSW) with an LCSW being preferred.

The Clinician II is responsible for the assessment and delivery of quality mental health care to the youth and families that Hillside serves. The Clinician II works as a member of an inter-disciplinary team to develop, assess, and modify the individual service plan. The person in this position will provide both individual and family within a variety of settings (including community, home, school, residential, etc.). The Clinician II recognizes the need for, and provides, team mentoring and clinical guidance. Based on experience and skills, the Clinician II may also provide clinical peer supervision and clinical consultation and training to other team members. The Clinician II is relied upon as the primary contact for the service plan and is able to expertly and succinctly communicate at all levels both orally and in writing. 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to diagnose and treat children/youth and families
  • Provide individual and family therapy, with the potential for group therapy if necessary, within a variety of settings (including community, home, school, residential, etc).
  • Depending on level of experience, provide clinical consultation and training to staff
  • Act as the primary contact for the service plan with the ability to expertly and succinctly communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work or clinically related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience is required.
  • Must be currently fully licensed in your discipline (ineligible if provisional or temporary license); examples of acceptable licensure include LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of services provided, well developed advocacy skills, knowledge and understanding of payment processes for services
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency driving standards

Consistent with state professional licensing laws, additional requirements may apply:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Licensed Master Social Worker
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor
  • Licensed Creative Arts Therapist 

$ 52,208.00 Minimum Rate per year, $ 82,446.00 Maximum Rate per year, based on experience.
