Relocation Assistance available up to $15,000
Pay range: $19.49/hr - $26.90/hr
Under direct supervision of an operating engineer. Operating and maintaining physical plant equipment. Using all necessary safety precautions, replaces lamps, hangs shelving, picture checks fire extinguishers and competes minor work request.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performed majority of the time:
· Repairs plumbing fixtures as associated with sinks, showers, etc.
· Repairs patient beds and other engineering equipment
· Participates in all required hospital educational programs.
Performed occasionally but critical to successful performance of the job:
· Performs and documents fire extinguisher inspections.
Decision making and budget responsibilities:
· Decision impact limited to the employee.
· No budget responsibility

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· At least one (1) year experience in some type of mechanical maintenance.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the type of vehicle being driven.

· Must have a satisfactory driving record, which is defined as
o No more than one (1) accident and two (2) moving violations or
o Two (2) accidents and one (1) violation or
o No accidents and three (3) violations on or off the job within the past 36 months.
o No conviction for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), suspension, auto felony conviction or other serious violations within the past 36 months.
· Must complete a defensive driving course within the first 90 days of employment and yearly thereafter.
· Drives a organization owned vehicle as a part of their job and is considered a Category A. driver.
