Research Associate, Israel Action and Addressing Antisemitism Hillel International Role Overview Hillel International is seeking a Research Associate who is proficient in systems and data analysis to join our Israel Action and Addressing Antisemitism department. As the data and reporting expert, you will provide simplified information, analysis, and insights to assist our teams in tackling antisemitism and anti-Israel bias on campus. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will be handling confidential organizational data regularly, so it is important to ensure that this information is kept secure. What You'll Do Systems Management
Manage and support our antisemitism, anti-Israel, and BDS tracking systems
Research anti-Israel and antisemitic speakers, faculty, programs, and thought leaders to provide campuses with "one-pagers" and an assessment of the speaker
Monitor and report on trends of campus hate
Track and account for all antisemitism training and corresponding attendance when IAP team members conduct training
Compile resource sheets and organize documents developed by the IAP Team
Quickly pull information from databases regularly to share with other teams or professionals
Data Collection and Analysis
Maintain IAP data throughout the year and provide periodic updates
Manage internal tracking of Antisemitism, Anti-Israel and BDS campaigns across Hillels in North America
Analyze data both in type, scope, and regionally to identify trends that inform the work of the IAP
Analyze and distill data clearly and concisely to provide insights to stakeholders and the wider organization
Oversee the request and needs for data in both real-time and on longer-term projects
Respectfully and securely handle confidential information.
Distill and summarize Data points for lay leadership and campus professionals
Work with Hillel International's Data team to support special data and reporting projects as needed.
What You'll Bring to the Role
A bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of work experience
Experience working with data and tracking systems
Knowledge of campus antisemitism and anti-Israel climate on campus
Proficiency with, Microsoft Office suite, including extensive experience with Excel/Google Sheets, and a quick learner of new tools
Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and matrixed virtual environment
A love for crossing things off your to-do list, creating and managing processes, and finding new and efficient ways to do things
A methodical and logical approach and excitement around the organization
Strong relationship builder and collaborator, great customer service orientation
Excitement for learning about non-profits in the higher education space
