Position
-Technology Instructor for a small K-8 public school in Oakland (OUSD)
Hours
-Monday through Friday, up to 35 hours per week
-Schedule will be set to coordinate with overall school schedule
-Required to be on campus for in-person instruction during the 23-24 school year.
Qualifications / Skills
-Bachelor’s degree preferred
-Teaching credential preferred
-Valid Math, Computer, or Industrial Arts and Technology Education Certification preferred
-1 years working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred
-Experience integrating technology into the classroom
-Knowledge of subject matter, including State Standards and subject-specific frameworks
-Knowledge of child cognitive development and various learning styles
-Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
-Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices
-Familiar with various educational programs such as Keyboarding Without Tears, Tinker, Google Classroom and Clever is a plus
-Recess supervision
-Cyber security
-Chrome book instruction
-Co-teaching
Compensation
-Employed by PTA; not a district position
-Salary based on experience / credentials. Range $54,000 to $63,000. The hourly salary range Hillcrest reasonably expects to pay for this position is $43 to $45. Where a prospective candidate will be paid within salary range will depend on the number of hours worked.

Technology instructor needed for small K-8 public school to teach technology classes, guide students in learning about technology, and support the school’s technology infrastructure. The position requires flexibility, creativity, and an ability to collaborate. We’re looking for someone who will be a technology specialist, an instructional partner and a teacher -- someone who can empower students to become enthusiastic, skilled and discerning users of technology.
