Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment needed for procedures is disinfected, assembled, and functioning properly
• Prepare patients for their surgery, arrange medical equipment, and assist doctors during surgical procedures
• Open supplies and instruments utilizing the aseptic technique
• Prepare the operating room for pre-assigned cases using the physician preference
• Sterilize equipment and provide surgeons instruments upon their request during surgical procedures
• Order, replenish, and take inventory of supplies and other surgical supplies as needed
• Support the Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist as necessary
• Attend and participate in all mandatory training and meetings

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Possess an accredited Surgical Technologist Certification OR be willing, able, and eligible to obtain it within the first six (6) months of employment
• 1-year experience as a Surgical Technologist required
