Under supervision of a Board-Certified Physician, the Nurse Practitioner performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care including clinical and intraoperative support during interventional procedures in our nationally accredited ambulatory surgical facility. The NP will perform patient histories and physical examinations. Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care. Orders and interprets for laboratory work and diagnostic tests. Interprets laboratory and test results. Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions and any referrals in patient’s electronic medical record. NP educates patients, family, and caregivers on pre-op and provides post-operative instructions. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices. Vascular surgery, sclerotherapy, varicose vein treatment experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay DOE.

Qualifications:
· Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner: Required
· Nurse Practitioner: Current license as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the California Board of Nursing: Required
· Nurse Practitioner: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body: Required
· Three to five years of vascular experience: Preferred
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)
· Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
· Persistent to detail, thorough and exact
· In good physical and mental health
