Staff Development Coordinator – Registered Nurse

Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Development Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement training programs and educational initiatives for nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and address specific training needs and areas of improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and simulations toensure that nursing staff are well-prepared to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support new employee orientation and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging healthcare trends to ensure the relevance and quality of training materials.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical competencies and skills assessments.
  • Foster a culture of lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the nursing team.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a nurse educator or staff development coordinator in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical and educational background in nursing.
  • Proficiency in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Certification in nursing professional development (e.g., Certified Nurse Educator - CNE) is a plus.
