Hill International is Hiring a Disaster Recovery Project Manager Near New York, NY

Hill International is seeking a Disaster Recovery Project Manager in New York, NY.

  • Responsible for leading, coordinating all aspects of the project
  • Ensures that all work is being completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Monitors how projects are progressing
  • Reports the details to the Government
  • Overall responsibility for managing established scope and budget for capital projects assuring these assigned project managers and guided and mentored throughout the project
  • Ensures communication between members of a multi-disciplinary project management teams both client and project staff
  • Oversees consultants and contractors involved in capital projects and facilitates strong communication and coordination between these entities
  • Communicates and coordinates project status with staff from affected federal, state, regional and local agencies
  • Regularly communicates project status, milestones and issues with leadership
  • Develops and oversees regular preparation of project status reports
  • Ensures project compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes and standards. Familiarity with FEMA-PA,IA,HMGP and HUD-CDBG-DR Projects required
  • First level lead for all consultant and sub-consultant team
  • Responsible for development of staffing plans related to contract
  • Must also have a minimum of 10 years of experience performing project management functions related with Disaster Recovery and FEMA in the US to include experience previous experience as a Project Manager on multiple projects
  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business or a related technical field
  • Must have high-level management and leadership skills
  • Ability to both lead and function as a member of a team
  • Should have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have attention to detail, great organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Must have conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to include risk management
  • Must have cost control and budgeting skills
  • Must have teamwork and motivational skills
  • Travel involved
