ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for the receiving and/or shipments of product, including loading and unloading trucks, as well as generating and maintaining appropriate documents, tracking inventory, sending ASN’s through the EDI system, general appearance of the area, and the effectiveness of the department.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate with a minimum of supervision. A lift truck license and computer data entry skills and strong math skills are a plus. Associate must be experienced and trained with all Hilite’s environmental aspects and impacts for the jobs they perform.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Load and unload trucks, verify weights, counts and pieces.
• Schedule trucks for pickups.
• Pull shipping schedules daily from MFG Pro, to ship against.
• Responsible for shipping / receiving all parts available on appropriate due dates.
• Create paperwork for all shipments.
• Build shipments and verify they are correct.
• Send ASN’s through the EDI system.
• Verify ASN’s are correct and approved by customers for proper payment.
• Schedule trucks; build shipments, proper paperwork, for all outside processes.
• Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with various individuals in other departments.
• Performing cycle counts based on cycle count schedules and report any problem parts.
• Investigate and define root cause of inventory inaccuracies.
• Make all system transactions associated with the movement of inventory.
• Training of individuals/teams on proper inventory methods
• Responsible for suspect material area movement upon disposition.
• Responsible for hold cage accuracy and disposition of scrap/suspect material.
• Lead role for yearly physical inventory
• Material Handler duties as assigned.
