JOB DESCRIPTION – QC Dimensional Inspector

We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team as a QC Inspector. This is an ideal role for someone who has dimensional inspection and GD&T experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability perform inspections and interpret ASME part specifications.

JOB TITLE: QC Inspector

DEPARTMENT: Mechanical

Summary: Utilize current knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure manufactured goods and products meet expected standards. Extensive knowledge of quality control guidelines, compliance requirements, and experience with modern devices and resources to manage the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read requirements from specifications, customer requirements, and GD&T
  • Use a variety precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, pin-gauges, air gauges, height gauges and comparators to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
  • Performing assigned duties as a Quality Control Inspector to ensure appropriate inspections and reporting.
  • Maintaining required qualification for QC inspections as identified in the quality program and specified by the Quality Assurance Manager in training matrix.
  • Assures measuring and test equipment used to perform the inspection is of the correct type, range accuracy and tolerance, and is within calibration period.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications per SOP set forth in our Quality System.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate
  • At least 3 years GD&T
  • At least 5 years related experience in mechanical inspection and testing activities
  • Ability to understand policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience in quality system concepts and procedures.
  • Ability to perform work assignments on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Continually required to stand, walk, lift, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and fingure dexterity to grasp, move, pull objects
  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read details
  • Routinely required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 lbs.

PAY RANGE:

  • $28.00 - $40.00 an hour
